This week should be very interesting with the XBRL International community coming together in Paris. New products and speakers are participating from almost 30 countries. The focus will be on Standard Business Reporting (SBR) and I will send out updates and news on a daily basis so check in every day.

The Global Financial Crisis A Plan for Regulatory Reform report was just released from the US on 5/26/09

Sorry wrong number: Study finds financial results of 209 listed Indian companies don’t add up

IRIS India released a study last week that I think you will find very interesting called " Sorry wrong number: Study finds financial results of 209 listed Indian companies don’t add up"

IRIS' study using XBRL finds that more than 200 listed Indian companies have discrepancies in their annual audited financial results. Some of the errors are serious, like for this company whose reserves in the balance sheet show a whopping Rs 2.16 billion discrepancy.
